Goodbye 2021, Hello 2022

Dear Friends,

I hope everyone had a great 2021! In 2021, I officially became a Mom on June 2nd. My baby girl is by far the best thing I have ever created. I love her so much, and I am grateful to be able to share my life with her.Due to the birth of my baby, I didn't paint as much in 2021. Towards the end of 2021, I started to get creative again. I started trying to balance my life as a stay at home Mom, and run my art business. It has been a challenge, but it has been worth it so far. 

In December, I decided to start a TikTok account. I have been posting videos everyday in order to let out some of my creative essence into the world. At first, I didn't enjoy making the videos, but then I enjoyed the challenge of trying to come up with new video ideas. Creating new videos to post everyday reminds me of the way we had to produce new ideas in college. I remember I had to come up with a bunch of ideas for art class, and my brain felt empowered. I'm feeling that same empowerment with TikTok. I don't even care if TikTok ever helps my art business, because it is helping me grow as a person and lets my mind continue to let out the creativity it is craving. 

I plan on eventually making YouTube time-lapse videos and Facebook Reels too. However, I am still getting use to video editing and filming.
